This is Atsushi, from the group EXILE. Right now he's one of Japan's most popular male idols.
Atsushi says, "Bitches love my haircut, and if they don't, they're fuckin' skanks."

This is Sakurai Sho, from the Johnny's group Arashi. Right now he may just be the very most popular male idol in all of Japan.
Sakurai Sho wants you to know that having a pierced belly button does not make him gay, even though he seems to have taken out his infamous belly button ring for this photo. Incidentally, the writing on his chest says, "A Man's Body."
Funny they should call him a man, because to me he's always looked like a bratty little boy.

Anyhow, these are some badges I found in a novelty shop down a back street in Harajuku.
Buck-Tick fangirls always get the last laugh.
Also, the lady at the artisanal bakery in the basement under Chanel got really excited about my Memento Mori tour bag while she was wrapping up my chocolate croissants. When she pointed and exclaimed, "Buck-Tick!" I wondered for a paranoid second if I'd somehow accidentally written B-T on my face in eyeliner before leaving the house, but then I remembered I was carrying the tour bag, and breathed a sigh of relief.

Mere children. We have ourselves a REAL Sakurai Atsushi, boys!! Listen and weep!!
ReplyDeleteEXILE's not Johnny's group & Atsushi's not idol .
ReplyDelete@ hikaru_summer_89 - my bad, EXILE is not a Johnny's group, thank you for the correction. Not an idol? Given the ratio of the media treatment he gets to the actual talent he possesses, I'd argue that's debatable.
ReplyDeleteOh, no. I mean he's an artist, not an idol like JE group. Actually. ATSUSHI and EXILE are really popular in Japan. ^^
ReplyDelete@ hikaru_summer_89 - I'm well aware of the unfortunate fact that EXILE are very popular in Japan. Are they artists? Depends on your definition of "art." For me, art involves being able to sing on key at the Japan Record Awards.
