At the Night Side 6-10

Y'all may claim to have felt like you were there, but I guarantee you you didn't actually, unless you watched the broadcast from your waterproofed iPeen while standing half-clothed in your shower with the water temperature set to 25 degrees Celsius.  So hold the mauldin pontification and the poetic waxing and go take a cold shower!

I must confess I love rain, though.  Raincoats are seriously overrated.

Getting wet is, by the same token, underrated.  And Sakurai certainly agrees with me.

Live report coming soon.

  1. Haha. Eh, it always rains at outdoor concerts in the UK. As they say in the army, "if it ain't rainin', it ain't trainin'". That's how it is with RAWK.

I hope you had a great time!

  2. @ Mawb - Mr. Imai playing the melody of "Singing in the Rain" when he returned for an encore was a nice touch. I think the rain was an added bonus, especially since they played a rain-themed set list in honor of the rainy season, which it is here, right now.

  3. Mr. Imai has the best sense of humour. I hear that Mr. Sakurai enjoyed frolicking in the rain too. I can't help but think that there's some fortuitous symbolism in having a good, cleansing, wash-it-all-away rainstorm as they embark on their first true "we're going it alone now" tours.

My only negative experience of a rainy gig was many years ago when I learned that red silk scarves are not colourfast in a downpour and should not be worn near white shirts.

  4. I still can't believe it, but i was really there (and without any rain coat!!) xD i could find a ticket like... 1 hour before the show!
Now that after all these years my dream of seeing them live has come true i can't wait to make it come true again, someday <3
    ライブお疲れ様!レポート楽しみをしていす~

  5. Can't wait for your live report. Am a new reader of this fantastic blog (read this blog end to end, multiple times!), but fan of Buck-Tick since 2006 (after watching Trinity Blood). When I first listen to Dress, I thought it is too beautiful and the singer voice is too perfect. When I look up for the PV, I fell in love with the band.

Thanks for fans like you that makes it possible to experience more of BT. Reading your live report sometimes give me goosebumps. The descriptions are very vivid. Even worse, your report makes me go *kyaa* in the middle of night over U-ta cuteness.

Watched the opening of concert at youtube (again, thanks amazing fellow fans). It looks just like the Rainforest World Music Festival 2010, heavy rain and masses of people with disposable raincaot. Of course, no pits of mud like RWMF.

  6. @ Pepper - Thank you so much for your wonderful comment, I'm so happy you've gotten so much enjoyment out of my blog. I wish the concert videos were better but they'll surely be better quality if the concert is released to DVD. You're not alone in discovering Buck-Tick through Trinity Blood. A lot of fans found them that way. A PR card well played!
