Just like last year, Buck-Tick will be performing at Countdown Japan at Makuhari Messe on Friday, December 28th. For those of you who are Buck-Tick fans and also fans of Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, this may be your first opportunity to see both bands perform at the same venue! Perfume, Merry, and N'shukugawa Boys will also be performing, in addition to a lot of other artists. Single-day tickets are available for a mere 10000 yen.
Come 2013, Buck-Tick will also be embarking on a standing tour "Tour 2013 Cosmic Dreamer" including both general admission and fanclub-only shows. This time they'll be going to some pretty exotic and remote locales, including Oita Prefecture, Tottori prefecture (incidentally, the only prefecture Sakurai screwed up the kanji for in Buck-Tick's geography test!) and Okinawa prefecture. Tottori prefecture is home to the most beautiful sunsets in Japan and Japan's reputedly most overrated tourist attraction (the Tottori Sand Dunes), the real attraction are the scenic and politically controversial nuclear power plants. Okinawa, on the other hand, has no nuke plants at all. But it has a US military base, so things all even out, I suppose. Okinawa is also famous for warty green bitter melons, a variety of delicacies made from pigs' ear, pineapple wine, having its own language, and the highest life expectancy on earth.
For those of you who think I'm being insensitive and reductive, really, actually, Tottori and Okinawa are both fantastically awesome places to visit, I say that in all seriousness. Buck-Tick never goes to Tottori so all five fans in the prefecture have probably just gotten started on freaking out. I bet they'll see a lot of fans from up and down the Sea of Japan coast (there's nothing there but the nature is gorgeous and the seafood is delicious.)
